rules
general
- You only have one account, period. This RP does not require or allow one account per character.
- Your characters can have colorful language if you so desire, but do not swear at other members.
- Use correct spelling, punctuation, and capitalization when posting. Avoid difficult to see colors and try to keep styling to a minimum.
- Characters have to be accepted before you RP with them, just to keep names unique and make sure everything adds up.
- Do not use copyright images. Using your own art for your characters is ideal, but if you desire to use pictures be sure they are available under a creative commons license or you have permission. I will always check to see if an image is being hyperlinked.
- If you have images of your characters for your posts or use tables, they may be no wider than 500 pixels. Signatures should be no taller than 400 pixels.
- First person RPing is NOT ALLOWED, unless you prove that your posts can be as good as third person ones. You must describe your characters surroundings and actions in a way that will allow other people to RP with you.
- Characters can be in no more than three active threads at once. If a thread doesn't get a reply for more than a few days, it's considered inactive. This rule isn't black and white, but it's easy to lose track when your character is in too many threads.
- Please do not enter threads that have more than three replies to them unless you are invited, or your character's pack members or friends are in that thread.
- No power-playing. Power-playing is playing someone's character for them in your own post. For example, saying that someone's character tripped or fell, even though the RPer never said they did. Occasionally you will make mistakes with what happened in a post, and that's okay. But if you are found power-playing multiple times by using these actions to suit your needs, you will be punished.
characters
- You may have as many characters as you can keep active.
- All characters must be a realistic breed, color, and size. I will allow a little fluctuation, but nothing extreme.
- You can only create dogs. Wolves, coyotes, and hybrids must be purchased from the bones shop.
breeding & birthing
- For simplicities sake, both sexes become fertile at one year old.
- One litter per year per female, and males can father an unlimited amount of litters. Litters will be born in spring or fall, and breeding occurs over the summer or winter.
- Breeding threads are optional. No explicit breeding; fade to black or entering a cave etc. is the norm. When both RPers agree for the dogs to breed, start a thread in the breeding board to get a roll to see if the breeding is successful, how many puppies will be born, health and sizes, etc.
fighting
- Fights can occur for any reason you desire, but admins will keep an eye on fight threads to be sure they are RPed fairly.
packs & territories
- Characters of either sex may claim lands and rule them however they choose.
- A minimum of two characters are required to claim a territory. For example, your dog needs to make a friend or find a mate to attempt to enforce any sort of claim on any land.
- To form a pack, create a thread in the pack creation board. This allows other members to learn about your gathering, and creates a warning of sorts to other dogs not to enter.
- Your character can be challenged for their territory at any time.
random events
- A staff member may, at any time, go into a territory and place a random event. This cannot be completely ignored, and should be responded to as soon as possible.
- Random events may cause minor injury to your character without your permission.
